Erin Newton Harpist from Denver, CO

Erin has played for weddings and special events for over 20 years and has an eclectic repertoire of classical, jazz, and popular standards, having played daily for the Historic Brown Palace High Tea. She performs with orchestras throughout the Front Range, with the University of Colorado Summer Opera Series, served as Principal Harpist with the Steamboat Springs Orchestra, and performed with eight-time Grammy award winning artist, Kanye West. Erin recently performed for the celebrity doctor Patch Adam's Gesundheit Institute. She specializes in wedding ceremonies in Denver, Boulder, Golden, and Rocky mountain weddings in Vail, Beaver Creek, Steamboat Springs, Keystone, and Breckenridge. She began her studies at six years old with Penny Beavers, California harpist, and continued studies at Mount Holyoke College with Boston's classical harpist Felice Swados. Most recently, Erin studied with Courtney Hershey-Bress, Colorado Symphony Orchestra's principal harpist. She currently plays with violinist Karen Lauffer as the Colorado Classic Duo, Flautist Alaunde Copley Woods as Double Grace Duo and the Rocky Mountain Celts.
