While Harp & Soul musicians are typically classically trained, they are not strangers to the popular music genres such as pop,hip-hop, R&B and jazz to name a few or artists like: "Train", "One Republic", "The Beatles", Christina Perri, Bruno Mars, Beyonce or Lady GaGa. As a musician, I am privileged to be a master of the universal language of music that not only spans cultures but also spans centuries with music that inspires and empowers and touches lives.
Don't let the long gowns, imposing instruments and past experiences put limitations on your expectations of what we have to offer you as musicians. Our repertoire is so expansive, that we haven't had time to write it all down. Just because a piece isn't listed doesn't mean we don't play it. And if we don't play it chances are we are able to come up with an arrangement for your special request and we both come out winners. You get your special request and we get to experience the joy of learning and adding a new piece to our repertoire.
Past special requests that have been added to our repertoire include: "All of Me" by John Legend, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana, "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri, "Hey Soul Sister" by Train, "Halo" by Beyonce, "Secrets" by One Republic and "Edge of Glory" by Lady GaGa to name a few.
Music is a powerful art-form. It can influence the mood of a setting giving it a unique characteristic that sets apart and distinguishes your special event from any other. Whether you choose the angelic strains of the solo harp or choose to embellish the harp by adding rich tones of the cello or other instrumentalists, music is the key feature to invest in for your special event. Harp and Soul is owned and operated by the lead musician, as a result clients reap the benefits of having Nichole's professionalism and vast experiences and she guides each bride and client through the process of choosing the best package and music for the wedding or event.
In addition to providing music for special occasions and events, Harp & Soul believes in giving back to the community. That is why each year, harpist Nichole Rohrbach donates her time for educational outreach, discounts rates up to 100% to perform for shut-ins, assisted living communities, nursing homes and volunteers her talents for open houses at historic sites in Berks County and Montgomery County.
