Ruth Boyajian Harpist from Atlanta, GA

Ruth Boyajian has stunned audiences worldwide since she began the harp at the age of 9. By the age of fourteen, she made her debut appearance at Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall, represented the United States in the World Harp Congress Focus on Youth concert series, and placed in the prestigious Philadelphia Orchestra Greenfield Competition. Since then, she won first place at the American Harp Society Mid-Atlantic Regional Competition, was invited to perform a new composition by Dan Pinkston in the Blair School of Music Faculty Composers Concert, and has performed in numerous fundraisers for the Lyra Society. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Harp Performance and Education Policy where she received the Dean's Honor Scholarship and AGBU Performing Arts Scholarship. She has an extensive repertoire ranging from classical to pop music arrangements. Ruth has performed for a number of social engagements including wedding ceremonies, receptions, choir accompaniment, banquets, church services, conferences, memorial services, and other events. Although Ruth is a full-time employee of Atlanta Public Schools, she takes requests for all types of events in the evenings and on weekends.
