Baked Goods is a 5-piece jam band originating in Merrick and Wantagh, New York. Their style has been compared to the Dave Matthews Band while still creatively maintaining a sound all their own. Their combination of jazz, funk, and rock and roll is a recipe for a unique sound which Baked Goods delivers in each song. Asa Lieberman, in charge of lead vocals and acoustic guitar, is the band's chief songwriter. Cory Azmon holds the groove together on the bass. Sax fiend Dan Janis brings in his wide influence of genres with his Tenor sax. Newest member Josh Hyman fills in the gaps with his raunchy yet powerful electric guitar sounds. Finally, the phenomenal Glenn Chiarello rounds off the group on the drums. On October 12, 2012, Baked Goods released their first studio-produced EP entitled “Chocolate.” Baked Goods is typically found performing at fundraising events for local charities, but most recently, they have been promoting their new EP. Dan is an alternate for New York's All-State band and a member of the Nassau County All-County Wind Ensemble, and Glenn was a member of the Nassau-Suffolk Jazz Ensemble, as well as a percussionist for the All State Jazz band. Baked Goods is an up and coming musical group with a bright future, composed of some of the most well-rounded musical talent this generation's youth has to offer. This summer we are going on an East Coast tour, hitting venues such as Fontanas in NYC, McGann's pub in Boston and the XO Lounge in Philly. We were also selected to play Musikfest in Bethlehem PA, with bands such as Weezer, Keith Urban, Steely Dan, The Moody Blues, All American Rejects and Jason Derulo.
