Abigail Flowers Jazz Band from Nashville, TN

My name is Abigail Flowers and I want to provide a little bit of musical magic for your event. A jazz band instantly adds a level of sophistication to your party, but it's also music that is perfect for celebration! These are songs that have a special place in the hearts of so many, and it brings me great joy to share this music with others. I've lived in Nashville for almost 10 years and sung in venues ranging from The Basement to The Bridgestone Arena! There's nothing I enjoy more than providing music for celebrations. I have years of experience playing solo--I'm a Lanikai Ukulele sponsored artist and I often accompany myself on baritone ukulele--and leading a band. My favorite and most consistent feedback I've received is that my music is able to add to an event's ambiance without distracting or overpowering guests' conversations. It's very important to me to respect the purpose of an event--who wants to yell over a loud sound system? People and professionalism are of the utmost importance to me: I will make sure that my clients and I are on the same page from start to finish. I take events (and the people behind them) very seriously and want nothing more than to make your experience exceptional. I am happy to tailor our performance to your needs and preferences. Much of my performance experience comes from singing seasonally as part of the Grand Hotel Orchestra at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, MI. At the Grand, I've been able to work with and learn from incredible musicians from across the world. I also get to sing every night for months straight, gaining invaluable hours on the job. The Grand allowed me to experience the joy of performing for ballroom dancers, couples celebrating weddings and anniversaries, and families making the most of their summer vacation! This gave me a taste of how magical it is to be part of someone else's celebration. In Nashville, I've had the opportunity to lead bands and sing in a broad variety of settings. I often play solo in restaurants or at private parties. My husband and I play as a duo (he plays the upright bass) as often as we can. I've also led a traditional jazz combo for wedding receptions, club performances, and corporate events. For 2 years, I've been the featured vocalist in Music City Big Band led by Casey Brefka. I also spent 2 years singing in a salsa band (Nashville Salsa Collective) and I love singing in Spanish. As both a staff member and student at the Nashville Jazz Workshop, I've studied with some of Nashville's best jazz musicians to hone my sound, build a broad jazz repertoire, and practice leading a band.
