Ian Lee Jazz Band from Austin, TX

Ian Lee has been playing music for over 23 years. He started playing violin at the age of 7 and guitar at 15. His father was a tour manager and sound engineer in Ian's youth which had him on tour and working in the music industry from a young age. Ian developed a love for Western Swing and Jazz over the years and began to study with esteemed teachers and play with some of Austin's best to gain experience and notoriety in the area. Ian is a founding member of the award-winning Western Swing Trio Big Cedar Fever and the Ian Lee Quartet. He is keeping these beautiful traditions alive but injecting new life and energy into them simultaneously. He brings profound and joyous energy to the stage that will liven any show. As a colleague once said, "If you want joy, Ian Lee is your guy." He has been called a "Honky Tonk Chet Baker" by Texas Public Radio. His professionalism is unmatched, and his ability equal to that of many in the area.
