Jessica Curran is a vocalist out of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Gifted with a smokey timbre, Jessica effortlessly channels the hard swing, and luscious nuances of the goddesses of the 1940s. Learning solely from her idols Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen McRae, Joni Mitchell and Jeff Buckley, and gained recognition in the area as a solo vocalist as well as leading soprano in state-wide festivals and competitions. At the age of 16, she was discovered by a swing band out of Boston, Stage Door Canteen, and recruited to front the band. From then on, she's worked with various groups performing a variety of repertoire including jazz, funk, pop, and rock in the New England Area, Chicago, and even France. Her album with Stage Door, Once in a Blue Moon, has been heard worldwide and she is in the planning stages of a second. She's been involved in Downbeat Award Winning projects, and gotten to perform with some of her idols such as Ben Folds, and Bobby McFerrin. Currently, Jessica is pursuing her degree in Jazz Studies at the prestigious University of North Texas, and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden. She is working on her original music, and taking the DFW by storm.
