Kelly Powers pianist, composer and educator is a young, inspired artist making her way on the New York City jazz scene. Kelly has performed alongside many great jazz artists including Jimmy Heath, Eddie Henderson, Nat Reeves, Steve Davis, Jim Rotundi, Eric Alexander, Jeremy Pelt, Winard Harper, Dezron Douglas and Luquez Curtis. She has also performed and toured with many big bands including the Artie Shaw Orchestra, Cab Calloway Orchestra, Jack Jeffers NYC Classics, George Gee? Swing Orchestra and Travis Sullivan? Bjorkestra. She has played many venues around the world, some of these include, Jazz CafeŽ (London), Body and Soul (Tokyo), CafeŽ Rosenberg (Reykjavik), Jazz Club (Barcelona), Smoke, Cleopatra's Needle, Kitano, Zinc Bar, Miles CafŽ, Swing 46, Minton's Playhouse, the Carlyle, Rainbow Room, Scullers and Regattabar.
Ms. Powers has over ten years experience playing for weddings, cocktail hour, birthday parties, etc. She has a wide range of styles of music in her repertoire, including jazz standards, classical and pop music. She is available to play solo piano or with her ensemble. Kelly is an excellent musician and extremely professional.
