Talisman Jazz  Jazz Band from Brooklyn, NY

Talisman is a ensemble comprised of guitarist Diego Campo, trumpeter Omar Little and bassist Tony Lannen. Based in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, Talisman plays a diverse repertoire that ranges from gypsy jazz, jazz standards to traditional percussive spanish bulerias; from Duke Ellington to Paco de Lucia. Talisman offers a warm, ambient, precise sound which is at the same time passionate and powerful. Sometimes playing the swing era upbeat gypsy jazz feel, seamlessly moving into a rumba version of an Erik Sati composition; Talisman brings a sophisticated and relaxed mood wherever they perform. For specific occasions Talisman the trio can also easily become a quartet with clarinet, or a quintette with cajon or drum kit. In its most low key formation the group becomes a duo with beautiful ease.
