The TOMCATZ-BAND is Tampa Bay's premier 20's jazz / swing / pop combo. We have a classy, yet edgy sophisticated sound that can best be described as: retro, hip, hot jive, high energy swing jazz. Our format is packaged into an affordable (9) piece (+) female vocalist, self-contained unit. Our music has the beat, energy and enthusiasm of rock 'n' roll with the fun and rhythm of big band swing all rolled into one.
We call our music "Neo-Swing", but in the 1920's, it was often called "Gangster Bop"
The TOMCATZ-BAND consists of: Full Rhythm section: Guitar/Bass/Piano/Drums.
Complete Horn section: (2) Trumpets / Trombone / Tenor
Saxophone / Alto Sax (flute & clarinet)
Female vocalist.
In addition, there several vocalists within the band. Each brings
their own style, strength and interpretation to the songs.
* Upon occasion, we will also have guest artists accompany us.
* The TOMCATZ-BAND can also provide a "cocktail/dinner set" of music to be played before our regular show begins - which is ideal for weddings.
* The TOMCATZ-BAND can perform a (45) minute Christmas show at your holiday event.
Our large book and variety of music enables us to perform in a variety of settings - as a dance/wedding band, special event showcase, or a jazz concert. We have the sound and experience to make whatever your musical requirements to be, a memorable event.

This group was amazing! We were hosting a 1920's Prohibition Party and they were perfect! Arrived early, were set up, dressed for the event and ready to go! I think they are an amazing bargain - would definitely recommend!
