Treat your guests and yourselves to entertainment that is unique, memorable and above all fun. The Jack Knife Jazz Band consists of myself on saxophone, vocals, and clarinet, accompanied by guitar, upright bass, and, when appropriate, drums and/or a second horn such as trombone. We perform a wide variety of vocal and instrumental jazz, with an emphasis on New Orleans music, Traditional Jazz, Swing.

My Funkier formation, "Ted Hefko and The Thousandaires," perform at a variety of clubs around town. Please let me know if you'd like to come see the band live or stop by our Brooklyn Studio for a private showcase.
We also offer classical flute and guitar duets for ceremonies, as well as ethnic wedding dances such as the Hora, on clarinet.

They did a great job finding the right volume for the room. Music was excellent, and they were friendly with the guests. Can't wait to have them back.

I booked the Ted Hefko Trio for a cocktail reception, on site, at a large pharmaceutical company. All of the pre-event communication went very well, thanks to Ted's responsiveness and professionalism. He prepared the perfect song list for the type of event I was having and the band members all looked fabulous. The trio is very talented and all the attendees really impressed. A few folks even grabbed some business cards. I would book the Ted Hefko Trio again in a second!!!
