BEST OF 2012, 2013 and 2017! Denise Bruckno is a seasoned jazz pianist and highly schooled player with a Master's in Music from West Chester University. She is a teacher of jazz and classical piano at the prestigious Philadelphia School in center city Philadelphia and a musician hired and respected by other musicians- jazz professionals, classical vocalists, theatre artists and choral directors alike. She appears regularly as a piano soloist and with jazz ensembles in the Delaware Valley and New York City areas in venues such as the Warwick Hotel, Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, Union League of Philadelphia and Hotel Dupont. She is well versed in musical theatre repertoire and has played for productions at the Hedgerow Theatre and is currently an accompanist for two touring shows produced by Philly Senior Stage entitled 76 Trombones, an adaptation of MUSIC MAN AND Oh What a Beautiful Morning, adaptation of OKLAHOMA. She is a much requested event pianist performing at weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, commencements, anniversaries, senior citizen events and a variety of other private affairs. In 2006, she provided music for Vice President (then Senator) Joe Biden's mother's 90th birthday party. In March of 2008, her jazz trio was featured at the New Orleans themed Philadelphia Flower Show. Her unique, finger popping jazz style is perfect for any event that needs a lively, swinging, sophisticated sound. And, her accomplished renditions of classical music are perfect for any ceremony. Her repertoire ranges from Bach and Beethoven to Elllington, Sinatra, Gershwin, Cole Porter and includes ethnic tunes, Broadway, and The Beatles. The Warwick Hotel in Philadelphia said "Denise has a musical style that our guests always complimented and a repertoire and flexbility that satisified most any request". Whether you're looking for the ideal music at a wedding ceremony, graduation, Bar Mitzvah, or a pianist or jazz combo playing classic, timeless jazz standards for a cocktail hour, social hour for seniors, or business event, Denise will work with you to create the perfect musical effect and deliver a high quality performance. Portable keyboard is readily available and references can be provided upon request. "Denise was great! She stepped in on short notice, sight read our arrangements and added a lot to the performance. She is also very pleasant and accommodating-a pleasure to work with." Pete Spina, City Rhythm Orchestra, October, 2010 "My compliments and sincere appreciation for providing the perfect musical backdrop at my daughter's wedding. Wedding ReceptionReviewed on December 6, 2014From Philadelphia, PA

Denise Bruckno entertained our guests during our recent wedding reception. She was fantastic! It was a pleasure communicating with her during the planning- she was organized and professional and very accommodating. Our guests truly enjoyed her playing. Our family members are quite musical and can be tough critics when it comes to other performers, but everyone raved over her musicality and pleasantness. We would highly recommend Denise, we are so thankful we found her!

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on June 23, 2013From Huntingdon Valley, PA

Denise played keyboard for my Dad's 85h birthday on June 23, 2013. She is a gifted jazz and standards interpreter and has a terrific repertoire under her fingers, but this was no regular gig -first, while the party was in Philly, I live in Los Angeles. Plus, I had written an original song and didn't complete the lead sheet music until 3 days before the party. Denise not only learned the song on her own time, but met up with me the day before to rehearse! The song went off perfectly, and Denise's musical style and easygoing personality really made the party. There's something special about a great musician -- Denise has it. Enthusiastically recommended!
