Hello, my name is Clinton Carter and I am a saxophonist. I was born in Houston, TX and began playing when I was 12 years old and I instantly fell in love with my instrument and jazz. In addition to singing in my church choir, I learned to love music from my mother. I knew immediately that being a musician is what I wanted to do; so I practiced day and night to perfect my craft. I began attending Texas Statue University in the Spring of 2006 and continued playing and continued to develop my sound and technique. Due to life, I took a brief break after college. In 2014, I was diagnosed with Leukemia. I had not played my horn regularly for years; yet in the hospital in the midst of my diagnosis and treatment, God spoke to me and told me what my purpose was here on earth. My purpose and gift is playing my saxophone. Ever since then I have been back to playing my first love and obeying God. I play regularly at my church home and I am now playing at weddings, parties and I am looking to build my resume even beyond that. I love to play gospel as well as r&b and jazz.
