Steeped in the gypsy jazz tradition, the group celebrates the music made popular by legendary guitarist, Django Reinhardt, and jazz violinist, Stephane Grappelli. An impressive repertoire of period music along with newer favorites and a growing body of original compositions makes for an unforgetable listening experience. Metropolitan Hot Club is available for concerts, private events, weddings, club dates, cocktail hours, and other events, and performs as either a quartet or quintet, depending on your needs. The band members are complete professionals who nail the Django/Gypsy Jazz style perfectly. They work great as a dance band (despite no drummer) but are such talented musicians that you can just sit back and listen (without blowing more sensitive ears out of the room). We would recommend them highly! They were perfect for our wedding -- and we look forward to going to more of their events.

The Hot Club guys were total pros - very relaxed and easy to work with. And they sounded great! They were able to adjust the level of volume just right during the reception, so that guests could enjoy the music but also hear each other while chatting. And when it came time to dance, they turned it up and "read" the crowd very well. Thanks, Metropolitan Hot Club!
