About Vendor

Learn more about this vendor for your event.

The Oyster Trio blends classic jazz, bebop, American Songbook, Motown, World, pop, bossa nova and Latin music. TRIO to SEXTET available. The OT performs weekly and is a highly polished and professional group. Perfect for Weddings, Corporate, and Elegant Special Events. We are all full-time professional musicians with thousands of engagement, wedding, corporate, festival, concert and special event performances under our belts. The Oyster Trio can also add vocals - listen to the last four selections to hear Tuey's smoky, soulful, jazz crooning - straight out of Johnny Hartman, Frank Sinatra, Bill Withers, Ray Charles and Nat King Cole. His last four records are available on Minor Music Records of Germany, and have received high praise. *** "Multitalented Tuey Connell is quickly making a name for himself as a superb jazz singer in the same league as such contemporary champs as Harry Connick Jr., Kurt Elling, and Peter Cincotti." - Minneapolis City Pages The Oyster Trio has a sound that goes from gentle ballads to hard swinging and funky up-tempo numbers and is perfect for cocktails, dinner music, light dancing, BBQs and black tie affairs. We all know Stevie Wonder's hip and beautiful harmonica sound and The Oyster Trio mixes that groovy sound with elegance, energy and passion. With the harmonica and voice, guitar and bass, our music is truly unique, worldly, beautiful, elegant and hip. *** "Connell's rich dark-hued baritone drips with sex appeal and he swings with an easy elegance that's equal parts Johnny Hartman and Kenny Rankin." - Show Business In addition to weekly private parties, club dates and special events, The Oyster Trio performs monthly at The Garage on 7th Avenue in Manhattan and Pierre's (a fantastic French restaurant) in the Hamptons, LI, if you would like to hear and see us in person. The Oyster Trio is able to play background music or put on an engaging performance. We have the experience, sophistication, charm and talent to entertain your family, friends and clients with songs they will recognize and know. We own and operate a full-sized PA for large events, or we are able to play through battery operated amps. For intimate parties, we play acoustically. We are also able to augment our trio by adding musicians for a larger sound, like drums, piano, and/or horns. We would like to thank you for your time in reviewing our page, music and information. We wish you all the best as you continue to develop your special event and look forward to sharing our Oyster Trio with you. Cheers, The Oyster Trio Performances of Note: * John F. WeddingReviewed on December 14, 2009From Philadelphia, PA

We highly recommend The Oyster Trio, they are truly amazing! :) We had a wedding recently and all our guests loved the music! Everyone from Oyster Trio is professional with all the music knowledge and very friendly and easy to talk to. We are so happy that we have invited them to play at our wedding cos they played all the songs we liked and all on our list. We know that we have make the best decision on choosing Oyster Trio when we heard the first song! (we were also impressed with how much music knowledge Tuey has when we first talked to him on the phone) We just wanna thank you for the beautiful music! Anita and Chris
