Margaret Murphy Jazz Singer from Chicago, IL

Margaret, also known as M&M by Chicago musicians, has worked in just about every live music room in the Chicago area. She was featured for a six month stint at the legendary Pump Room located in Chicago's Ambassador East Hotel. As vocalist for tenor great Von Freeman, she has performed at both the Chicago Jazz Festival and Taste of Chicago; she also appeared with the Grammy award nominated blues band Mississippi Heat at the Chicago Blues Festival. Margaret's band is a favorite at the famous Navy Pier Beer Garden Music Stage, and she was featured for both the 2005 and 2006 seasons. Currently, Margaret is the lead singer with the popular Charlie Johnson Quartet and fronts her own jazz and blues ensemble with her husband, the very talented bassist, Chuck Webb. Margaret also performs throughout the states of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan with the Associates wedding band doing jazz, blues,and R&B! Known as one of the most entertaining vocalists on the Chicago scene, Margaret will add just the right touch to your wedding or event!
