Ombretta And The Wingers Cover Band from Chestnut Hill, MA

Born in Rome - Italy, raised between Los Angeles-CA, Brisbane-Australia and Rome, Ombretta moves to Boston in 2004 to pursue her musical interests. She has been singing professionally for the past 10 years, ranging from Pop to Soul, from R&B to Gospel, from Motown to Jazz. In her early years she studies piano at a conservatory level, then, in Rome, Contemporary Voice with Pina Magri (who herself studied in New York, Florence and Paris) and Jazz with Giuppi Paone (who herself studied Jazz with Maggie Nichols, Lauren Newton, Norma Winstone e Mark Murphy). She is currently part of the ABBCC (Archdiocese of Boston Black Catholic Choir). Ombretta is a true artist who sees music as her way of expressing herself, she sings from the heart and delivers emotions at every performance. She currently resides in Brookline with her boyfriend and his two daughters. Andrea is a versatile player with wide-ranging interests. She plays locally with several ensembles. She has enjoyed a rich musical education through private studies in classical voice, classical and jazz guitar and electric and acoustic bass, with teachers from the Los Angeles Master Chorale, the University of California, Northridge, and Berklee College of Music, respectively. She has performed professionally as a singer, guitarist and bassist. She particularly enjoys the jazz idiom and sees the conversation that takes place through improvisation as one of the highest expressions of community. She resides with her husband and nine-year-old son on the North Shore, where she also maintains a private teaching studio. Stephen Silbert has professionally performed big band jazz in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, wearing a tuxedo, as well as raging punk and hardcore in East Coast and Canadian dives, donning only a diaper and work boots. Though the latter led to interest from the music industry's largest corporations, the former resulted in film, TV and theater work. After a West Coast stint where Stephen performed with San Francisco country-western mainstays, Sony records flew him to L.A. to record on a single for one of their artists. Stephen eventually returned to the Boston area where he had graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music. He now records albums of his own songs as well as recording and performing with Ombretta and the Wingers!
