Parrot Troupers Band Jimmy Buffett Tribute Act from Kankakee, IL

The Parrot Troupers are a Jimmy Buffett tribute band that specializes in Jimmy Buffett music (well of course). With Jim at the helm, we hope we won't run a ground!! LOL Also we encourage, and at times draft people from the audience to be in the band, play a few percussion toys and help sing along and join in the fun. In addition to a large selection of island music, we also have an extensive repertoire of oldies and classic rock songs to add variety to your event- Also we can't forget the ladies of the group, June, adding the steel drums along with other instrumentation, on the keyboards and sometimes singing a tune, and Lori, our sax virtuoso and other female lead. We have Don on the bass, occasionally honoring us with a vocal or two. And last but not least, we have Turnpike Tom strummin' & pickin' his guitars. Since we all take turns singing lead on songs, you get a variety of voices and harmonies. We as a band strive to create a fun atmosphere in what ever song we are performing. But wait there's more.. Don't forget the Buffett trivia questions with prizes and also a hula-hoop contest thrown in there- With the grand prize for that ...well ya just gonna have to win that aren't you !! LOLOL And this year we are adding to our Buffett trivia, the Wheel O Boofay - yep kinda like lets make a deal..spin the wheel and if you answer right, ya get whats behind door #1 !! Well, you get a prize. This should be interesting at best!! Whether you would like a party down by the water front with the feel of a tropical Island, a luau. or a wedding, or a even a back yard party, then we are your band! We have our own sound and lighting equipment. Also we have props, inc 2 talking parrots (adult audience on that one) otherwise Pete and Polly are in the off mode but there for the flavor!! So, if you're wanting to get away for the afternoon, evening, or the the whole weekend,then board our boat,pull -n- the gang plank, set the sails and cast off the lines.
