Born and raised in Chattanooga, TN, Jay is a retired Army Bomb Tech, Paratrooper, and Logistician. During his distinguished 30-year career, he had the opportunity to lead and serve with the Nation's sons and daughters on five continents and in several contested areas, including three combat tours in Iraq. A former Battalion Commander, Jay served in a wide variety of leadership and staff roles across numerous levels of the US Army and Joint Forces. After retiring from the Army in 2019, Jay joined Booz Allen Hamilton, where he serves as strategy & management consultant, bringing 30 years of professional experience in leading high-performing organizations within dynamic, fast-paced operational environments. He has a proven track record of developing and fostering collaboration to achieve tough organizational objectives while empowering people. He is renowned as a strong organizational leader who focuses on people while closely collaborating with partner stakeholders. Jay recently obtained his MBA from Tennessee's Haslam College of Business through the Executive MBA Strategic Leader Program. During this program, he discovered his passion for Leadership Coaching, which led him to mentor future MBA candidates and eventually found JCL & Associates.
