Rollicking freylakhs, sweet cradle songs, and hot American vaudeville tunes are brought to life by the Ann Arbor-based klezmer band, Klezmephonic. Klezmephonic will get a crowd dancing in no time at events and celebrations -- weddings, art openings, contra and folk dances, Bar/Bat-Mitzvahs and more. The full five-piece band includes clarinet, violin, accordion, guitar and bass. Alongside klezmer, Klezmephonic incorporates other Yiddish and Jewish melodies, Eastern European folk music (i.e., Rumanian, Gypsy, Russian, etc.), swing and blues. For smaller events, a clarinet-guitar-bass trio is available, with an emphasis on klezmer and swing. Comments from the audience: My friend and I were talking about music for her upcoming wedding. When we heard Klezmephonic, we both said 'That's the sound I want!' I just can't help dancing!

Klezmephonic is an awesomely talented band, professional, creative, versatile, and fun. If you want Klezmer, Eastern European, and gypsy music for party, book them! We really enjoying having them play our daughter's Bat Mitzvah party. If they are still gigging in four years, we'll have them back for our younger daughter's Bat Mitzvah, too.
