Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on May 4, 2009From Tucson, AZ

Working with children is always a challenge, My talents were tested but had some great reviews from the children. and their reactions were as they should be entertained and having fun. Every event is different and expectations are always viewed differently.

On time, professional, friendly, good communication, flexible with our needs. We will hire John and his wife for future events.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on October 4, 2008From Tucson, AZ

Very nice guy, however the act was just terrible, very stale and not at all what a magic show would entail. Tried being funny was just aweful. He is a nice guy though. Wife is disabled and in a wheel chair so if you have a two story house you will have to accomodate. She is not a professional face painter luckily this was a childs party and did not know the differnce. A wonderful magician that i can recommend is "DJ the magic guy" 520-668-2758, young and super talented, was not available that day, how I wish. All in all it was a below than average show, his attempt to achieve was perhaps the most impressing thing he could do. He also smokes and stinks.

:

First of all, I do not smoke nor stink, always have a clean body, no way, never been. Sometimes can be around other people who smoke but always keep the outfit. Looking and presenting well. I know DJ and he is a great young guy, But I am always trying to make the party the best. Just wonder how many other shows she has either worked with or seen. As to my wife she is not a professional face painter and for a childs birthday party she did her best. Most of the time the mother was not even watching the show. Always remember perspectives make the difference between a great magic show and one that this person remembers. I heard laughter and fun, she saw dull. What ever.

John was very pleasant and we really enjoyed having him. The cub scouts had a BLAST! John traveled 4 hours to come and see us and we really appreciated it!

His magic was not as good as I thought it would be, pretty much normal magic, my big concern and the other parents and den leaders were they thought that he was rude to the scouts and other kids.

:

Show went well, asked for any feedback when show was finished, Pam had said then that they were happy with the show, after discussing this with her today, I found out she was going by what the parents said, but from my perspective I was not rude nor unaccomodating to the group at all. I just think they were looking for David Copperfield and they got me. I was protective of equipment but everyone seemed to enjoy the show during the time, people will always have a different idea, but mine is I did the show they looked for and I am never rude to children nor parents.
