Our focus is to keep your reception on track including double-checking the important details behind the scenes and communicating with your reception team members to make sure everything and everyone is ready before moving onto the next phase of the reception Music Programming playing the right song at the right time to create the right mood, feeling, memory, or filling the dance floor at your reception. Being able to “read the crowd” and adjust the music accordingly, having the ability to create a mix of background music that builds energy and transitions to dance music. Confidently knowing how to use audio mixing equipment, understanding how the beats per minute in a given song can build or decrease energy. As your primary entertainer, DJ DPG, I have always had the love for good music, growing up listening to pretty much all genres of music and I honestly believe that there is beauty in all genres of music. My love for entertaining has been there since childhood. I took DJ classes in Washington DC. These classes focused on equipment and software as well as techniques in music mixing. I use software that's used by the top industry professionals, including Traktor, Serato DJ & Scratch Live, Ableton Live, and Mixed in Key. I stay up to date on all the new technologies taking the DJ world by storm. I have worked with all kinds of customers ranging from country weddings in Texas, Top 40 and hip hop parties at bars in and around Washington DC to reggae/Caribbean, Latina events, sweet 16 parties, birthday parties for all ages and as well as graduation parties for elementary school kids, high school grads, college graduates and others. I pride myself in being able to rock just about any party.
