Dear Friend, My name is Bill Clark and I am a world champion and world record holding Powerlifter, Guinness Book of World Records Holder (featured on the inside cover of the 2020 book), international Gold medalist in Olympic Weightlifting, and inductee in the World Hall of Fame. Additionally, I have been featured on ESPN, international TV, was the number one Guinness World Records' social media star for 2019, and am so honored to have some of my world record memorabilia in the Ripley's Believe it or Not and Guinness World Records Museums. I do not write about these accomplishments to boast however, because I truly do not deserve such accolades. In all honesty, I am a product of God's guidance and love and the greatest coaching in the world. If you only knew what I started as, you just wouldn't believe the transformation! My father died when I was 12 years old and my mother suffered from terrible mental illness--I mean to the extent that she would be gone for weeks at a time. As you can imagine, that can be quite anxiety producing and depressing for anyone, let alone for a 12 year old boy. Social Services routinely visited me with threats of removal and placement into foster care. I was a lonely and scared little kid, whose future looked just as dismal. I think it's every kid's dream to sneak chocolate chip cookies for dinner, but when you realize that this is all you have--for breakfast and lunch too, you'll soon wish you could replace those sugary treats with a quality dinner. To make matters worse, the heat had been turned off in the house and there was no hot water. For sure, things could be better. What I didn't know was that they were about to turn!!! I stumbled in to a local gym where a prominent weightlifter was training in hopes of making the US Olympic Weightlifting Team. I had no idea what I was doing, but he recognized something in me that I was unaware of. He began coaching me and decided that I should be looked at by the famous York Barbell Team in York, Pennsylvania. The local city police department offered to pay my bus fare to the historic center where I spent a week. When everything in life seems to be against you, and I do mean "seems" because it isn't, you grab ahold of something good when it comes your way with both hands and you hold on for dear life. Now, you already know how things worked out for me, and if you've forgotten please review my opening paragraph. What you don't know and what I am so honored to share are the "secrets" to climbing the mountain of success and this applies to your field too. I'm not referring to world records or world championships necessarily, I am speaking about becoming the best that you can be. I don't care if you're a dentist, a real estate agent, a high schooler looking to enter college, or whatever. Excellence is excellence and the same strategies that worked for me will work for you. How can I be so sure? Well, not only did they work for me as an athlete, but they also propelled me to become an internationally published author, award winning teacher, and developer of The Mind Performance Training and Power Meditation program, which has helped to produce world champion athletes, college graduates and top performers in a number of fields.
