The following is from a featured interview with FOX, CBS and NBC Meet Larry Kimbrough June 14, 2021 11 AM It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story? How did you get to where you are today? I served 31 years speaking and 30 of those years were spent as supervisor, plant manager, sales manager. Had the pleasure to train under some of the best managers in the world. I found my niche is turning struggling companies around, from faltering to success. I have trained sales force, sales managers and executives to be more aware, focused and organized. Reducing waste and placing the right man in the right job. All these things affect the bottom line and that is the holy grail we are all after. It mainly has to do with process, I have developed many, one that every employee and company should be following is what I call the want it, need it and got to have it concept. Through my speeches and training, I feel I am giving back to help the future, maybe give someone a leg up on life. I do many events at churches and youth groups to guide our children and let them know someone is there to help. I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way? Even now, I see companies hiring a college graduate that has no experience therefore he does not understand what the floor worker is facing every day. That makes it almost impossible for him to properly communicate with the employees. I train them to bridge that gap of education to the experience, then the proper communication can take place. Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition? I do motivational/Inspirational speeches but my biggest program is the training. I go to my clients for the purpose of training bad behavior out of the, to get them fired up and refocused. I teach them about organizational skills, getting the right man in the right job, and reducing waste. The main idea is to control the bottom line through proper techniques and processes. I know if I help a company or individual become more successful, they and their families all reap the benefits. I work hard to make sure I do not give the client a “canned” performance. Before every event I do, I spend two to three meetings or phone calls with the client, and I ask lots of questions about their needs. Then I put together a custom program designed for their company and their specific needs. Many times, during these pre-event talks I find that what the customer thinks is their main problem is not really the problem they should be addressing. That is one reason it is always good to get someone from outside you company to put a new set of eyes on the inner workings and determine what they really are in need of. I have a knack of ferreting out problems that many people overlook, I am trained “to look”! The magic is not just communication but good communication. This is the backbone of eliminating problems from a company. The goal for all executives is the bottom line, but sometimes their view of what is actually happening that changes the bottom line is missed. I am there to open their eyes so they are able to see things from another more informed perspective. In business or your personal life, if you can properly manage your communication and not be emotionally tied to only one view, and be open to accept change you can find your bottom line. Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you? I love it when people tell me that I have changed the way they always looked at certain things because of what I taught them during my program. I am in the process of writing a book and I have only one goal for the book, to inspire people that are living a hard life. What’s next for you? Next for me is to finish my book and promote it and make sure as many people as possible can have an opportunity to read it and let them know there is hope for them. Between now and when the book is finished, I hope to work with as many clients as possible to help them in any way I can. Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more.
