WeddingReviewed on August 11, 2014From Oakland, CA

We highly recommend Kaye Roze Jazz Affair for any event. They played at our wedding & were fabulous and affordable. Kaye was very responsive to our emails & made everything very easy. She sent us a list of songs to choose from. Their performance & presence exceeded our expectations. They weren't too loud; the volume was perfect for a reception where people didn't have to try to talk over the music. They arrived early to set up, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. They took a break where Kaye uploaded & played music that we sent her to play during the break. We definitely made the right decision in going with a live band and choosing Kaye Roze Jazz Affair.

Kaye Roze Jazz Affair was exceptionally well received. A great addition to our open house and we will definately hire them again when the need for a large party occurs. They were WELL WORTH every penny spent and even more...You won't be disappointed...as smooth as jazz can come. Loved them! Shirley @ Villa San Ramon Retirement Community

Private PartyReviewed on December 14, 2006From Carmichael, CA

The Jazz Affair performed at our annual physician's holiday reception in December 2006. The music was great. Just what the doctor ordered! Their music is versatile, players professional, friendly, and very accommodating. All-in-all a very enjoyable experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Jazz Affair for any event.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on January 29, 2006From Fairfield, CA

Do we want a boom box or a band? That was the question my sister posed me when we were beginning to make plans for our father’s surprise eightieth birthday in January 2006. Of course, being the thrift monger that I am, thought that a boom box could suffice for setting the mood for a party. Wrong! My sister insisted on hiring a band, especially after she had found Kaye Roze on Gigmasters.com and listened to her audio samples. After going to the website and listening to Kaye’s and her band’s musical talents myself, I was sold as well. If you are debating between having canned music and having a live band perform at your event, I encourage you to remember that you get what you pay for. A boom box may fill the room with sound, but it cannot rival the presence and interaction of live performers. Kaye and her band were consummate professionals, arriving early to set up and test their sound equipment, consulting with us about timing during the event (such as when to begin the music when our father arrived, timing for the presentation of the cake, among the myriad of minutiae involved in carrying off an event). Kaye and her band were essential ingredients in making our father’s birthday party not only a success, but also an event those who attended will long remember -- and we have the thank you notes from guests to prove it! It was a poignant evening filled with music, dance, and laughter. Thanks, Kaye and guys! I’d say, “Book ‘em!”

BanquetReviewed on September 17, 2005From Los Gatos, CA

Kaye Roze and her band were hired to celebrate my father in laws 80th birthday party. Kaye looked beautiful and she sang with so much enthusiasm. Very warm to the audience. Her band were well dressed and played beautiful music. They entertained us all! Even my 4 year old was invited to participate with the band and assist with the percussions! Kate enjoyed that alot! If you hire Kaye Rozes band you will be truley satisfied! Thanks for a great evening Kaye! Sincerely, The Fujimoto Family

What a fantastic talent! Not only was Kaye timely and incredibly professional, her renditions of my requested songs for my father's memorial were flawless and moving. I could not have been more pleased. Thank you, Kaye!

Graduation PartyReviewed on June 11, 2005From Hillsborough, CA

Kaye was very accomodating from the first contact through the last song played. We were trying to play it by ear and have part of the party outside by the pool and then move indoors when it got dark. We weren't sure up until that night if things were going to work because the wind picked up at the last minute but they withstood the elements and played outside because I had specifically requested that venue to open the party. Everybody in her ensemble was very nice and great to work with. The style of music was exactly as I'd hoped for and helped to make for a great celebration. I was very pleased, my only disappointment was that the hours flew by and I didn't get to hear enough of the music up close. We had about 50 guests in our home and mingled through several rooms. I found my best friends sitting alone in the living room at one point because they were enjoying the music so much. Great job, I'd definitely recommend you to others. Thanks so much. Gene

Dinner DanceReviewed on May 20, 2005From Santa Clara, CA

High kudos! She and her band members were easy to work with, very accomodating, and completely professional. However, I felt embarrassed that I did not another meal available for the last minute addition (but we managed). I could also have put a table outside the ball room to accomodate her sale of cds, but did not remind her when she arrived. It does require one of her folks to man the table, however. Would also appreciate knowing that they wished to video the proceedings, so I could notify our Rotary staff---as a courtesy.

:

We really enjoyed performing for the Rotary Club. Our philosophy is that we are hired to entertain, not sell CDs, eat or drink. I put the CDs in an inconpicuous place and if people see and want them, they are available. Although food and drink are appreciated, it isn't expected. It is our client's party, not ours. We try to video tape our performance and take pictures if it doesn't interfere with the event. The Roatry Club professionally vieo taped the event. What a plus! We really appreciate everything that was done for us and had a good time. Judging from guests' comments, they did too. We hope to have the opportunity to perform for the Rotary club events again,
