Mood Swing, out of West Palm Beach, is a soul band with flavors of disco, reggae and funk. This trio blends groove and melodies underneath harmonies to create a distinct vibe. Mood Swing has been played venues such as Voltaire and Elizabeth Ave Station in West Palm Beach, Crazy Uncle Mike's in Boca Raton, The Hippodrome in Gainesville and many more. They have played shows in support of Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, Royce Lovett, Savants of Soul, Surfer Blood, Public Sounds Collective, Electric Kif, Spred the Dub, JM & The Sweets, Mona Lisa Tribe, Lumerians, Scott Yoder, and more.
Mood Swing is made up of Evan “Grooves” Whitney (drums/vocals), Dakota “Raise the Quota” Dawkins (guitar/bass/vocals), and Matt “Matt Brown” Brown (bass/keys/guitar/vocals). Mood Swing has been joined by saxophonists , Markis Hernandez and Reggie Ellison, and other musical friends to add to the sound. Per request, Mood Swing can add a full horn section, female vocals, and/or other elements to liven the party even more.
