Steve Wexler and The Top Shelf Reviews

From the first moment we spoke on the phone Steve was professional, friendly and accommodating. I had read glowing reviews about him and his band and they completely lived up to the standards we imagined. Every member of the band was a seasoned professional. We asked them to learn a few new songs and they absolutely nailed them! They even learned a song I wrote which was a highlight for me. So cool! My husband and I were beyond impressed! Steve especially went above and beyond to please us. We were 100% thrilled with their performance and with our overall experience with dealing with them. I wish I had another event coming up to hire them. And you should!

It was a pleasure to work with Steve Wexler and the Top Shelf for our wedding. From the beginning of our planning process Steve was proactive, involved and accommodating. We had great contact with Steve leading up to the event and great interactions that night including making accommodations when we were actually ahead of schedule. The performance was OUTSTANDING. The band did a great job with the pace of the evening and provided great energy and atmosphere and even went above and beyond by jumping in on a song that my friends and I prepared as a surprise for my wife. People could not stop talking about them and we could not have been happier. Highly recommend

Steve was great about asking my daughter ahead of time for which songs she would like to have included in the evening of dancing. He included two additional requests for wedding party members to sing along with the band, transposing the songs to the keys requested. Steve's arrangements of each song were top notch. Steve met with me and the hostess at the venue to go over the flow of the evening, giving me confidence that all would go well. And, best of all, the band played with energy, skill, and great musicianship, and enticed everyone out on the dance floor for the entire evening. All our guests commented on what a wonderful party it was!

WOW!!Steve and his band are AMAZING--starting even before we booked them. Steve is incredibly kind, positive, flexible, and "can-do". It was such a pleasure dealing with him in the midst of stress and some other unpleasant vendors. The band even helped us with our sound system when they weren't playing. Then came their MUSIC. OMG!!!!!! The band's sound is big, soulful, funky, nuanced and tight. The arrangements are perfect. In short, they have a GREAT sound, a GREAT vibe, GREAT musicianship, and a GREAT attitude. All my guests were out of their seat dancing all night and are still raving about them. My advice? HIRE THIS BAND--you'll be so happy you did.

Working with Steve Wexler was a very positive experience. Steve was very good with communication outlining deliverables while also being very receptive to our needs for the event. The dance floor was packed down to the very end of the event. I highly recommend Steve Wexler and The Top Shelf.

Steve Wexler and the Top Shelf were the greatest wedding band any couple could ever hope for! Incredible musicians with a great sense of how to make the evening a blast. Steve Was incredibly easy to work with and very accommodating to our requests. We cannot say enough good things about our experience.

The night was a joyous and succesful event due in great part to the amazing music delivered by Steve and the group. The wedding guests included my colleagues in the television business who hear many bands at many events and said TOP SHELF was among the best they ever heard. All kinds of unsoliciited positive reviews like that among the other guests as well. On a technical level, the range and tone of the sound rang clear and true.
