About
BACKGROUND: My name is Steve and I've been playing music since I was 7 years old. Born into a musical family(my father was a professional trumpet and bass player), I'm classically trained on the piano and took full time lessons for 6 years as a kid. I also play guitar, bass, and accordion and compose, arrange, and record music. I started playing professionally at the age of 13 years old, doing solo work and playing in bands with adults many years/decades older than I(great experience!), playing in a wide variety of music/venue types over the years. I've played professionally as a solo act, in duos, with bands, etc. over the decades playing everything from quiet background cocktail hour piano music to high profile events with bands throughout the nation and around the Phoenix metro and beyond.

WHAT I OFFER: My current format is a solo format, singing classic rock, pop, and country mainly from the 1950's-1990's, playing keyboard and singing. I can sound like a full band with my backing drum tracks, harmony's, etc. that are all painstakingly created by me….I don't use karaoke/generic purchased backing tracks. For those who want a 100% acoustic/solo type performance, I can deliver on that front too if this is what you require, just me playing the piano and singing. And any mix in between of acoustic type format and full band sound which is what most of those who hire me prefer.

Give the people what they want: I've learned over the years that the vast majority of people want to hear songs they know and love, to sing along to and dance to, and that's what I play…..a wide variety of classic rock, pop, and some country, 250+ songs that are time tested songs and span the generations that people of all generations want to hear and I play them all with an authentic feel of era/style….from Benny and the Jets, Rocket Man, Candle in the Wind, Crocodile Rock etc from Elton John, to Piano Man by Billy Joel, to Brown Eyed Girl from Van Morrison, Hotel California, Take it Easy, etc. from the Eagles, The Joker From Steve Miller, Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffet, Sweet Caroline from Neil Diamond, Free Fallin by Tom Petty, American Pie by Doc McLean, Sittin on the Dock of the Bay by Otis Redding, and other sing along songs like Red, Red Wine, Friends in Low Places, Don't You Forget About Me by Simple Minds, Tainted Love by Softcell, Hey Jude, etc just to name just a few, and countless other classics from the Temptations, Elvis, Garth Brooks, Bobby Darin, REM, U2, Johnny Cash, CCR, Tom Petty, Simple Minds, Soft Cell, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Buffett etc etc

EQUIPMENT: An area that in my philosophy is not an area to cut corners on as those in the audience expect and want a clear, clean, professional full sound. Therefore, I use top of the line equipment which includes QSC K series active speaker(s), RCF active subwoofer(s), Universal Audio Apollo Interface with UA Console Virtual Mixer, Shure wireless headset microphone, and an ASUS high end laptop. The size of the venue dictates how much amplification I bring….I'm ready to fit in to the most intimate/small venue and large outdoor events with a big, full, clear sound that I consistently receive compliments on. And having quality equipment is part of the story….I have decades of experience doing recording studio and live sound work and know how to dial in a clear, clean, full quality sound to the audience.

BOTTOM LINE BENEFITS: And given I'm a solo performer, I have a small setup footprint….beyond my keyboard, speaker(s), and a few other small pieces of equipment, I'm able to leave those who hire me more space for people, tables, etc. at your venue…..more people/tables, less musicians, with the same sound as a much larger band. And a better value than a band….and that's good for your bottom line/budget of your business or community.

WHAT IT ALL MEANS TO YOU: My philosophy is simple…provide high quality live music to those who hire me. I'm professional, reliable, and well received at the places I play. I have many satisfied businesses, many of which I play steady year round or seasonal in hotels, restaurants, sports bars, community events, active adult communities, food truck events, private events and parties, etc. all around the metro and beyond. And since those who hire me are paying the bill, you dictate to me your music needs, how loud or soft the volume….if you want me to focus on a specific era(s)/decades of music, etc…I'm happy to accommodate. You're the boss. I look forward to hearing from you on how can I can fulfill your live music needs….thank you!

Music was great! Steve, sang some songs the audience knew and could sing along! He was an amazing keyboard player considering he was in a car wreck a few weeks ago and could only use his right hand. Two hands would be phenomenal!!
