Rocco-Rhythmx: Original Band Jazz Band from San Francisco, CA

Rocco-Rhythmx music attracts those who listen for the fresh, new, and original. Our sound begins with John composing on the guitar in jazz, blues, and Spanish veins. Michael's piano and Gabe's alto sax transform these solo pieces into vibrant, multi-dimensional ensemble compositions. Rocco-Rhythmx music is fluid, lyrical, and listeners say they are sometimes transported by the currents moving through it. Deep skills from teaching and performing all styles of music guide Michael in finding keyboard embellishments and solos to weave around John's guitar work. Gabe, emerging on the Bay Area music scene as a gifted soloist after several years as first alto in the Stanford Jazz Band, is our band's rising star. The continuous and intuitive melodic invention streaming from his horn gives listeners a most compelling pleasure, inviting them in to further contemplate the evolving Roccos sound. After three years of building audiences with open mics and longer shows at clubs and house parties in Berkeley, Alameda, Hayward, Fremont, Pacifica and Stanford, Rocco-Rhythmx has 25 original compositions and counting. We seek new audiences to share in our musical journey in search of our sound.
