I am only one of two Certified Professional Photographers (CPP) in northern Colorado. The Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) program, from The Professional Photographer of America (PPA), assures clients like yourselves that I possess photographic knowledge, experience and continuance to develop new skills and techniques. The CPP certification is a declaration of professional competence and ability in the photographic craft. Business details - Payments may be may electronically via credit cards or ACH (direct transfer from a checking account). - Payment is due when the images are delivered. - A certificate of insurance is available for on-site events. This protect both you and I just in case something gets broken during the course of work. - W-9 statement is available. This is used to request Taxpayer Identification Number needed from vendors (me) you hire as independent contractors (also called freelancers). When a business pays a contractor $600 or more during a tax year, it has to report these payments to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), using an information return called Form 1099-MISC. Businesses use the name, address, tax identification number contractors provide on Form W-9 to complete that information return.
