Rebekah grew up in a musical home and is a 4th generation musician. Her love of eclectic styles came from her "Greatest Generation" grandparents who played Glen Miller and Duke Ellington records for her, while her parents introduced her to The Beatles, The Rat Pack, Andy Williams, and singer/songwriters of the '70s like Billy Joel, Elton John, and Carole King. Her brothers were teenagers in the 80s and she spent her after-school time watching MTV in secret and falling in love with the sounds of Michael Jackson, Aerosmith, The Bangles, and Journey. She has a strong classical background in both piano and singing, however, she studied modern techniques after leaving college with her music degree and is more likely to be belting out rock songs than singing opera.
