Hello!
My name is Emilie Alpert and I am a professional Photographer and Videographer with a studio in Union, NJ.
I am mainly focused on Portrait Photography, including Headshots, Commercial, Lifestyle, Editorial, Boudoir, and Newborn Photos. However I also specialize in Real Estate photography as well. I also am available for events (commercial or social).
I began my career as a plus size model and actress, but soon began to show a stronger interest for being behind the camera instead. I find that my experience as a model helps me build confidence and originality in my clients and their poses. I have now been a photographer for over 6 years, having managed my own studio in the past, as well as worked at commercial studios.
My greatest accomplishment so far is working as Director of Photography and Editor of the Holocaust survivor documentary, "Fascination: Helena's Story," which won the 2016 award for best feature length Documentary Film at the NYC International Film Festival and has gone on to be used in schools nationwide.
My most recent acclamation is that two of my editorial collaborations have been chosen to be published in two separate issues of Black and Black Magazine - March 2020 Editions, and my most recent publishing was in the September 2020 issue of DOMINATE Magazine.
