Johnny Utah’s Vault is a vintage strongroom turned event space located in New York City. Despite being on the East Coast, this venue is as Western as it gets. Traditional Tex-Mex cuisine is carefully crafted here using fresh ingredients sourced from local purveyors. Rumor has it that Buck, the venue’s mechanical bull is the only one of his kind in Manhattan. A crowd-drawer as it were, riding this beast is not for the faint of heart.
This underground location has an old-world charm that transports the imagination back to the wild west. Nostalgia is a theme found throughout the venue, and particular elements like safety-deposit boxes and iron barred-doors emphasize that feeling. In true western fashion, antler pendant lighting fixtures provide a subdued atmosphere here. The room favors an aesthetic of functionality which is highlighted through concrete flooring and minimal decor.
Though the Vault may be smaller in size, it’s unique properties make it a room of endless opportunity. It has been used to host a wide variety of intimate functions that include birthdays, anniversaries, corporate dinners, and much more. Party-goers can indulge their senses in some of the delicious dishes available, as well as take advantage of an extensive cocktail menu. These thirst-quenchers are inspired by classic concoctions and given a fresh lease of life with a modern twist. In addition, there is an endless selection of other drink options that include liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
