He came from a broken home and dropped out of high school after his first year. Soon after, due to a series of unfortunate events he ended up homeless on the streets of Northern California. Eventually his brother helped him get off the streets where Jay began to work in the restaurant business. In a matter of 18 Jay worked his way up from being an assistant manager to being the regional manager over 42 restaurants. From there Jay broke into the talk radio business where he worked until 2019. Jay Mcfarland is a former talk show host who was on the air for 20 years in Las Vegas, Dallas, and finally Salt Lake City, Utah. He was on KSL NewsRadio for 10 years. Jay also ran for Congress in the state of Utah two times. He is an author of, two books, one on building, a better marriage, and the other on raising children in a technical world. He is also a popular author on the Pluralsight platform where he has courses on becoming a better manager, and climbing the corporate ladder. Jay also hosts his own podcast that can be found on every popular social media platform which focuses on the issues of the day.
