There are several biographies regarding my career, i.e Wiki. But, I feel the best way to describe who I am is to hear it from ME! I flew to Nashville in a bird suit with Jerry Jeff Walker's wife and ended up riding out to Johnny Cash's house with Carlene Carter. I met John and June in that bird suit. I ended up staying for a year. I wrote a song called Tennessee Rose which was about John's love for June. I met with Hank DeVito who was Emmy Lou Harris' steel guitar player and he wrote a beautiful bridge to the song and pitched it to Emmy. She recorded the song and it ended up being the title track and first single from the "Tennessee Rose" album. Rosanne Cash then recorded a song that I wrote with my ex husband Gary P. Nunn on her debut album. The song was called : "COULDN'T DO NOTHING RIGHT". The song along with Tennessee Rose hit #1 in the early 80's. I was then signed to Warner Brothers Records and recorded ANY NEW WAY OUT on my album "WALK ON". I had several top ten singles, three albums on Warner's and one on Mercury. I retired to the song writing and pro rodeo life.
I have had singles recorded by Tanya Tucker, Patti Loveless, Ann Murray, Crystal Gayle, Exile, Russel Smith. I was awarded a Grammy for my participation on the movie soundtrack "FOLLOW THAT BIRD". I have been fishing off the coast of Florida for 12 years now and am often seen performing any where there is a guitar or piano!!
