Do you have a budget for my services to you? Having a budget begins the planning process of determining what we can offer you.
What is the event? Is there a theme or a color we should be aware of?
What is the event date?
What is the time frame you want me to perform for? I am looking for the time the show would start, not when your event starts unless it is critical that I set up before your guests arrive. If that is important to set up or tear down before the guests arrive or leave, fees will be factored into the cost.
Where is the address of the event so I may figure out travel fees? Travel fees are such things as: drive time, gas, tolls, parking, lodging, rentals, time away from home.
Is the event indoor or outdoor? If outdoors, is the performance area covered to protect us or possibly interfere with our performance?
What is the flooring made of? Is it grass, gravel, cement, tile, carpet, wood? Is the surface level? Is the surface smooth or are there cracks and bumps that could interfere with movement?
What is the ceiling height? Are there lights or decorations? If so, what is the height to those objects below the ceiling?
Is there enough room to perform the type of performance you are requesting? We need to know the size of the staging area. This area is for the performer and not where the patrons will be sitting or standing.
Do you need a performers insurance certificate?
How many performers would you like to be at the event? One or two? One performer shows will be a male. Two performer shows can be a male and a female or two males.
Is there a safe and secure area for the performers to store their coats and other props?
Who is your target audience and what ages are they between?
Pricing can be confusing when you are comparing others to what we do. No two performers are the same. Skill levels, experience, business skills, energy level, costuming, make up, being on time, and don't forget presentation. We arrive 15-90 minutes before our start time. Why does this vary? Sometimes there is set up involved and other times there is not. Sometimes there are lighting and sound checks and sometimes there is not. Our pricing is based on performance time, travel time, gas, tolls, parking, hair and makeup time, costuming, meetings, set up and tear down time, advertising costs, phone bills, time on the phone, responding to emails, taxes, supplies, and practice time. Weekdays (Monday-Thursday not including holidays) are lower rates than weekends (Friday- Saturday and holidays). Corporate events are more because they generally do not tip a performer and there is more paper work involved. Talent Agencies will be charged the same rate by us. They will then mark up our services.
We offer Strolling Performers that move about your event for 15 minutes to 8 hours, Positioned Performers for ambient entertainment 15 minutes to 8 hours, Stage Acts that are 2-15 minutes long, and Stage Shows that can be 20/30 minutes long. Obviously all of these styles are not the same, just as no event is just like yours. If you are booking multiple hours or multiple shows for the same day, there is a different rate that will be offered to you. Please understand that a show in our city will not be the same price as a show that requires travel time and expenses. Stage shows are not the same price as strolling performances because of set up and rehearsal time involved with a show. Please be aware that with stage acts or stage shows, there is set up time and break down time involved and the area must be ready for us to set up to start at the proper time. If make up and costuming is essential to the event, there is a cost involved for applying make up and removing it and also for renting or putting costumes together.
