I think the communcation, planning and day of the wedding all went off without a hitch. I did find it best to try to schedule an appt rather then just trying to call and connect. Avaiability was difficult but worth the wait. Excellent performance and everyone enjoyed it. The musicians were talented and personable. They looked as professional as they sounded. thanks for making the day special

I've hired the Amherst String Quartet twice to date and will certainly continue to recommend them to my clients. They are extremely accommodating and talented musicians. Always professional, Amy is responsive to any and all requests and is happy to learn any special songs requested by my couples. Charlie Ampicella and his trio were absolutely phenomenal! They played music for our ceremony at the church as well as our cocktail hour at the reception site. It has been over a week since our wedding and guest are still raving about the music and the mood of the entire wedding.

It was a pleasure to work with Amy all throughout the planning process. She was always available to talk to and it was fun to bounce ideas off of one another. I really liked working with Amy and the group was very nice looking and professional. They were put up in the balcony at the church and that was unfortunate because getting the cues was not easy as they were hidden from view. That decision was out of our control. We apologize about that. Their sound was excellent: bright and clear. My only constructive criticism would be that the music did not flow. There were clear stops and starts at the reception, but I think because of the mixup in who was actually going to play at the last place, in all fairness, I don't think they could be 100% prepared. I would just emphasize that they communicate well with themselves.

The players in this ensemble are excellent. However, we had difficulties with the manager, Amy. She was difficult to communicate with (slow with e-mails). We sent a list of songs we wanted and she sent us back a list of songs the quartet already knew, most of which were in our original request. We made a few concessions and agreed on a list of songs in JANUARY. Cut to 2 weeks before our AUGUST wedding. Amy e-mailed us and asked if she could change the program list; they couldn't rehearse in time, there was too much sheet music, etc. We said yes; there was no choice with 2 weeks notice. Poor communication, changed the music. They had 7 months to prepare. Weak.

The Amherst String Ensemble was the perfect choice for our wedding celebration. The string trio was exceptional, setting the mood so beautifully for the ceremony. Their musicianship is of the highest quality, which was noted by so many of the guests. We couldn't have been more pleased!
