This turned out to be a very difficult gig under extreme conditions. Conditions that as per contract are at discretion of performers to play or not. The wind was so high that it blew stands over, blew pages off stands that were pinned to folders, and physically blew stand tops in circles while musicians were trying to play. It also turned out to be a day that was quite cold without the wind. Sometimes it amazes me that when you go out of the way to accomodate someone, it's those people that are the ungreateful. Two of my violinists did a very professional job under the circumstances. I asked them why they didn't move inside and use the wireless pa system, a

The wedding day was windy and 48 degrees and the musicians played very well under such adverse conditions. They were very professional and learned some new music at our request. We greatly appreciate their addition to an important event. I highly recommend them to anyone and wish them the best in their musical careers.

We chose the Phoenix String Quartet after searching the internet for the best sounding group with the most reasonable price. We couldn't have been happier with our decision and the end result. Carl was nice enough to meet with us before the wedding to help us select music for the ceremony and he was very helpful. On the day of the wedding, everything went smoothly and I did not feel any stress at all about the msuic. Thank you to the Phoenix String Quartet! We would recommend you to anyone who needs live, beautiful music for any event? Thank you so much!! We loved the music you played and I think it added a lot to the ceremony.

I would say overall poor. We had many contacts and they could not get the time straight ever. Even though we sent e-mail after e-mail with the same exact time they would respond asking if we meant another time. We meant the time we sent and the time that was stated online. They arrived 3 hours early and only played for 10 minutes when the contract specified and they were payed to play for 1.5 hours. Horrible

Andrew booked one time, and e-mailed us another. We clarified vie e-mail and again the week prior. We played 15 minutes prior to the ceremoney, during the ceremony, and about 10-15 minutes after, then moved to the reception area where they had a DJ performing and was told the quartet was not to play any more. I waited another 15 minutes at the reception, for the wedding party to show up (they had not at that time), then left. It was fortunate that the cellest arrived early as shade was not provided as specified in the contract and the quartet cannot perform in direct sun.

The Phoenix String Quartet provided professional music for my son's wedding. They were unobtrusive and prompt. They picked up on the wedding and its style and gave us what we asked for. Thanks to them for all they did. Nancy Wruble
