Our extensive performance library includes current contemporary favorites, classic jazz, rock and soul and light classical pieces. Artistic integrity is paramount to Tulsa Quartet; we make sure that every piece we play will be well-suited to string quartet, and that it is beautifully arranged--our reputation depends on it. Tulsa Quartet is new to gigmasters, but we are experienced quartet and orchestral performers. Our members have performed in various ensembles, including Tulsa Opera, Tulsa Symphony, Tulsa Signature Symphony, the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory Orchestra-Cleveland, the Gettysburg Symphony, the North Carolina Blue Ridge Symphony, Tulsa Community Orchestra, Belle Musica Quartet, 99th Street Quartet, Mosaic Trio and Tulsa Ballet. Our members are also involved in conducting, orchestral and Suzuki education. In northeastern Oklahoma there are several good options when it comes to choosing a music provider for your event. The music community is a close one and we know and respect our competitors. We want your business and work hard to differentiate ourselves in the following ways: 1. Most members of our quartet rehearse together a few times a month on quartet repertoire, so when it is time for your event, each piece in our library is polished to a shine. "We don't need to rehearse" can mean "We've played Here Comes the Bride so many times we can phone it in." 2. Musicians are not commodities, where a pound of salt is just like any other pound of salt. Any four musicians, even professionals, cannot be gathered for a one-shot performance and be expected to have the great, cohesive Tulsa Quartet sound. The four original Tulsa Quartet players will play at your event; we will not plug in any four available musicians, which means we can't accept every gig. If one of our musicians is unavailable, we will either not take the event or will ask if you will accept a well-qualified replacement. 3. We never use students as substitutes, even excellent students, because their livelihood does not yet rely on dependability. Ours livelihood depends on excellence and dependability for the once-in-a-lifetime events we play, so we choose not to take the risk. 4. We pride ourselves on having the most current, extensive and exciting string quartet repertoire in northeastern Oklahoma. We routinely assess music trends and invest in our library to offer you more of the choices you are looking for. 5. We specialize in string quartet music.
