MICKEY JAMES & THE QUEEN CITY CREW is a high-energy, full 6-piece band whose youthful & nostalgic look and sound will entertain music lovers of all ages! Providing the perfect combination of Classic and Contemporary Swing, Jazz, R&B, blues, rock and roll, and many other styles, you'll be partying all night with the Crew!
A female vocalist is added frequently for a more rounded repertoire of modern pop songs if requested!
This powerhouse band provides a youthful flair to the classic sounds of, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darrin, James Brown, as well as the more contemporary sounds of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Michael Buble, vintage arrangements of current pop artists, and so much more!
Notable past performances include Hollywood Casino, Belterra Casino, Great American Ballpark, the Cincinnati Lindy Society, Miami Valley Gaming (Casino), Ault Park, LexSwing (Lexington), & SwingColumbus.

MICKEY JAMES TRIO/QUARTET: a talented 3-4 piece group specializing in Swing, Jazz, Standards, and many other genres. The band can be very flexible with song choice / instrumentation depending on the venue, sound requirements, or desired feel.
MICKEY JAMES DUO: the most cost effective option for a lounge feel, Mickey and his horn player (usually saxophone) will be accompanied by professional backing tracks of piano, bass, and drums. This gives the sound and experience of a 5-piece band at a fraction of the cost.
DANCERS / DJ / MASTER OF CEREMONIES: Need professional dancers, DJ, and/or a Master of Ceremonies for an event to make it even more memorable/special? No problem! We can provide dancers of all kinds including Latin, Swing, and Ballroom as well as DJs that can customize their music to fit your needs! Professional, energetic, fun to work with, willing and able to learn a song not in their repertoire are just a few of the traits Mickey James & The Queen City Crew represent. This is THE band to hire for your event. They had our crowd up and dancing for the entire party. Having the swing dancers was the little extra punch that we needed. The attendees could not stop talking about the band, the music and the dancers.

The band was exquisite. They were all set up with sound checks completed (in a room with a challenging layout) well before guests arrived. Every band member looked and sounded professional, and made the event more fabulous by how much they clearly love their work. They were very flexible & patient in accommodating an unusual evening program with multiple last-minute changes. Several guests commented that the band is what really made the evening special and memorable. I couldn't agree more. I highly recommend Mickey James & the Queen City Crew!
