My degree in psychology gives me some additional insight into my clients’ questions and concerns. While my main practice is at my home in Vallejo where I offer readings for individuals and couples, I also quite enjoy reading at parties or large gatherings and special occasions. At these events, each participant can choose a reading from playing cards, Tarot, or a combination. I carefully explain the differences between the types of decks and encourage people to choose the one(s) that feel most comfortable to them. For example, playing cards are good for answering specific questions and allow for an ongoing dialogue between us and the cards. I can do more than one playing card reading per person whereas with Tarot, I do a single reading. Tarot looks at the overall energy of the querent’s situation and describes the different elements that make up their life pattern. Depending on the size of the gathering, an individual playing card or a three card Tarot reading can take as little as five minutes. If the reading leads to a discussion, it may take somewhat longer; it’s up to the person I am reading for to decide what feels right in the moment. I also particularly welcome participation in events that celebrate an individual or couple. On those occasions, I like to give “the guest of honor” special attention with a reading focused on their current situation and future. If the joyous occasion is a wedding, I offer a couple’s reading for the newlyweds which might reveal insights into the foundation of their connection, the forces that brought them together and what each truly sees in the other, as well as a vision for the evolving pattern of their lives together.
