LAURIE BEEBE LEWIS & THE ELECTRIC UNDERGROUND is headed up by LAURIE BEEBE LEWIS. Laurie was a member with the 1960's famed group THE MAMAS AND THE PAPAS. Laurie was a full member of The Mamas and The Papas for seven years touring the world. The Mamas and the Papas had over a dozen Billboard Top Ten hit songs in the 1960's and are especially remembered for "California Dreaming", "Monday Monday" and "Dream a Little Dream of Me". Today Laurie and her band, The Electric Underground perform music from the sixties through the seventies. Laurie and her band can perform music styles from rock and roll, flower power, psychedelic rock, classic rock, folk rock, blues rock, surf rock, British invasion rock, disco, and much more. The band performs at casinos, festivals, performing arts centers, private and corporate events and wedding receptions. The band consists of four vocalist, electric and acoustic guitars, keyboard, drums and bass guitar (7 members). Laurie, prior to The Mamas and The Papas was a full member, vocalist and keyboard player with the famed 1960's and 70's group THE BUCKINGHAMS for three years. She recorded on one of their albums, plus toured with them extensively and on the famed HAPPY TOGETHER TOUR with the TURTLES, BUCKINGHAMS. GARY LEWIS & THE PLAYBOYS and the GRASS ROOTS.
