Absolutely amazing! Such a pleasure to work with! I would recommend them to everyone! I would love to have them back again next year!
The Mixed Meta5 is a quintet comprised of guitar, saxophone, trumpet/accordion, bass and drums. Three of us do the lead vocals, and we harmonize in three and four parts. We sing in English, Italian, Spanish and French. Our repertoire is large, and we can do convincing renditions of everything from Frank Sinatra to Edith Piaf. We can also rock and roll and play music from South America and the Caribbean.
The band has been together approximately two years and has worked steadily since its first performance at Two Toms, an Italian restaurant in Brooklyn. From rooftop barbecues in Manhattan to weddings in the Hamptons the band consistently entertains sophisticated dancers and listeners with its captivating blend of cha chas, sambas, reggae romps, swinging jazz tunes and good old 8 to the bar rock and roll. If you are looking for an something a little bit different, not your typical pop cover band or wedding band, the Mixed Meta5 may be a good fit.
