Hourglass has been called the premier acoustic rock trio performing the iconic music of the 70's-80's still loved today. We don't use a drummer and can bring the show to even the smallest of venues or private house functions without the decibel levels normally associated with rock bands. We focus on vocal harmonies and strive to sound as close the original recordings we grew up listening to. We are a perfect private party band and enjoy involving our audiences in the live performaces from singing along on a guest mic to playing small hand instruments on stage rocking with the band. If you have an inner rock star needing to get out and be heard, we can back you up. We always need "more Cowbell"! We have performed in many iconic Austin venues and events and are proud of always being asked to come back and do another show. We also play outdoor festivals, car shows, SXSW events, bars, country clubs and pool parties. We have a full light show and will bring a show your guests will talk about a long time after your party is over. We have over 100 years experience between the three of us and are pretty adept at doing requests for songs if they fall in our genre. HourglassATX went above and beyond! They exceeded my expectations and really helped make our night special. From the choice of song to their talent in playing, we were extremely impressed! They showed early to set up and were rocking and rolling the second the clock hit 6. Not only was the music great, they made a couple announcements to keep the party on track and alert our guest of the bar, food, photo booth, etc. & they got our guest involved and allowed people to sing along on stage or play along with a cowbell. Five stars does not do enough justice for how highly all my guest and myself think of this group. Wonderful band!!

They played all evening at our private house party last weekend, and they were awesome.
Everyone at the party had a great time, dancing and singing along. Everyone told me it was the best party on the street to date. The music was great, professional sound gear. They have my best recommendations - no need to look further if you need a n awesome party band.
