About Riptide
7-piece classic rock band: Riptide is best known for its tight vocal harmonies and musicianship, which consist of two guitars, bass, keyboards, and drums. Our lead vocalist is a seasoned singer with a range which covers tunes from Billy Joel, Doobie Brothers, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Beatles, etc., and he is not the only singer! We have at least three other members who can sing and produce harmonies.
The band members come from a variety of backgrounds, a few having served our country in the armed services, some are members of the Alexandria Harmonizers who are a renowned men's a Capella chorus founded in 1948.
Background
Riptide have been performing for over 7 years, playing at festivals, private parties, bars and homes, situated in the Fairfax area of Northern Virginia, our gigs and functions have had us travel in all areas of Virginia.

Riptide covers a wide spectrum of music from the 50's to the 90's that engages the crowd and plays the songs that you know and love. Specializing in variety, we know how to adjust the energy level depending on the situation.

Riptide is professional, start to finish-great entertainers and businessmen. They communicate well, ask the right questions, confirm details, and accommodated requests. They arrived early and prepared and put on a great show without drowning out our nearby vendor booths. Their diverse list was perfect for our contractor customers. Riptide is musically talented with strong vocals. Our 500+ attendees were very impressed. As organizer, I came off looking good for hiring them. (Thanks, guys!) Riptide was part of my team that day. Riptide was THE best addition to the charity gala we held, the Allison Gala. They were lively, got the crowd going with dance and engagement. They were very professional, responsive with communication and helped out with other aspects of the event with announcements, etc. Post gala almost eery attendee commented on how much they enjoyed the band and want them to come back next year! Very satisfied!
