We have the songs, musicianship, vocals, look and stage props without the drawbacks that most 80s bands have. There is a HUGE difference between hiring a garage/bar band and hiring a band with thousands of corporate events under their belt. Because the majority of our shows have been weddings, corporate private events and festivals, we understand pressure-filled situations and come through every time. We have performed with and for a number of notable celebrities and professional athletes and have a number of high end clients such as The Chicago White Sox, Northwestern University, Shedd Aquarium, and Foresight Meetings. We were also the 80s band selected to represent the John Hughes estate on the Lake Forest Home and Garden Tour. We excel at 80s themed birthday parties and have been told on many occasions that our music “made the party.” For example we have done Top Gun, Back to the Future, and John Hughes movie themed events in which we dressed in cosplay and performed selections from the movies to help encapsulate the theme. We also have done many successful 80s proms, which requires knowing how to curate a song list to keep dancers on the dance floor. We most frequently perform as festival headliners and truly adore the wide range of age groups at those events. The best shows are collaborations between the band and the hiring party. We encourage requests and want our clients to have a direct say in what music is chosen for their events. We are family-friendly, do not perform songs with explicit content or language and conduct ourselves in a professional manner. We have an interactive fun stage show with 80s attire and stage props. We offer an 80s karaoke option as well as a DJ option. We DJ on all breaks so there is never dead air or a lag in energy at your event. We carry liability insurance! We have hundreds of dance songs from other decades available as well, if you want more than 80s. One of our prime features is that we always carry multiple vocalists/instrumentalists at every show. It is vitally important to hire a band that has backup if any of the members get sick. We have never canceled a show and we hope to never have to. Because we have a big band of over 14 people with horns upon request, we always have highly trained members of the band available. A bunch of our competitors only carry one singer onstage, which dramatically runs the risk of them cancelling your event if that person gets sick or runs into an emergency.
