Stone Garden — the Tri-Valley's premier 90s alternative rock experience Like the maverick minstrels of yesteryear, the Tri-Valley's newest grunge sensation, Stone Garden, flawlessly conjures a bygone era of flannel shirts, chain wallets, combat boots, and waist-length hair, not to mention, some genuinely unforgettable, kick-ass music. Channeling the angst and introspection of the Seattle scene, the Livermore-based quartet breathes new life into the anthemic stylings of the best of 90s alternative rock, from Soundgarden to Cracker to NIN, offering up a meticulously crafted, yet loving homage to the progenitors of the last great era of rock music. Stone Garden has assembled the Bay Area's most talented and battle-tested musicians, though groovemaster, David E. Lodge on the drums, is perhaps the most notorious of the quartet. In the early 2000s, Lodge spent a decade with Irish schizo-melody noiseniks, Mike Got Spiked, who bagged a top-30 hit in their homeland and then blazed a trail across America sharing stages with My Chemical Romance, Anthrax, Thrice, Biffy Clyro, and many more along the way. Fully focused on this musical retrospective, Lodge notes that he and his new bandmates have collectively penned songs with Dead Kennedys' East Bay Ray, and Foo Fighters' Chris Shiflett, recorded with Queens of the Stone Age producer, Chris Goss, and The Smashing Pumpkins engineer, Kevin Dippold, and even roadied for Alice in Chains. They've had several run-ins with the law and picked up Weird Al Yankovic's dry cleaning at least once. The looks, the drive, the talent, and the desire—Stone Garden has it all and they're about to take the Central California region by storm.
