Since our founding in 1943, the Yale Alley Cats have come to be recognized as one of the most well-travelled collegiate a cappella ensembles in the world, as we tour for two months out of the year. This past year brought us to three continents and allowed us to perform in destinations spanning from London and Istanbul to Beijing. While the Yale Alley Cats were originally rooted in the classics of American jazz music, our repertoire has expanded over the decades to include Motown, pop, and many other genres as well. The diverse repertoire of the Yale Alley Cats, when combined with our engaging performance style and our musicianship, enables us to entertain for an array of different audiences, from students of all ages to foreign dignitaries and celebrities. In recent years, we have sung to President Obama, former President Bill Clinton, and Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden, as well as headlined the final concert of the internationally renowned Dresden Music Festival for a crowd of over fifteen thousand people.
