Phil Lawrence Mandolin Acoustic Band from Sebastopol, CA

I play a vintage Gibson mandolin in the style of David Grisman, who is a friend and mentor. My music is acoustic, instrumental, with an emphasis on jazz standards from the twenties to forties, but I also write original pieces, and I can play a wide variety of musical genres, including folk, bluegrass, klezmer, Latin, blues, and rock. I can perform as a soloist, or as a duo, trio, quartet, or quintet. I usually perform with a guitarist, bassist, and violinist, but the personnel is flexible. My recordings and videos are available on my website and all major digital platforms. My best known band was It's A Beautiful Day, with whom I performed for ten years.
