From Jelly Roll Morton to Tom Petty, The Standards play an eclectic mix of favorite tunes that'll take you on a musical tour of the twentieth century. With an emphasis on musicianship, they bring fresh life to the roots music they love, while reinventing classic rock staples with inventive acoustic arrangements. On any given night, you might hear the Rolling Stones' "Paint it Black" done with a banjo and ukulele, a raucous country rocker by Merle Haggard or a jazzy ragtime ditty from the 20's... And a varied palette of instrumentations and vocal harmonies only add to the gumbo. Michael Sebastian plays the mandolin, banjo, accordion, and his acoustic guitar, Dennis Clark is the best slide guitarist in town and throws in some lap steel now and then, Raymond Guajardo is an amazing upright bassist and lead singer Ryan Marker is a harmonica player who's heavily influenced by the great blues harpists of the past...
